I heard a great analogy today. “One of the reasons that it seems like we are reading two different documents is that when a leftist quotes the Constitution or the Declararion of Independence to a conservative, they do it in much the same way that an atheist quotes the Bible to Christians. Leftists selectively hold conservatives accountable to what the constitution states but they do not do the same for themselves because they don’t believe it.”
